Comparing Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to Nazi ruler Adolf Hitler, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud accused his regional foe of trying "to expand" and "create his own project in the Middle East." The monarch then said he would not hesitate to attain nuclear capabilities if he suspected Iran was doing the same.

While Iran has always maintained its nuclear program was solely for energy purposes, rival nations such as the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia have thought otherwise.
The 2015 deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, saw Iran agree to curb its nuclear production in exchange for the lifting of billions of dollars worth of international sanctions. The deal was widely praised, but also opposed by conservatives in both the U.S. and Iran.
President Donald Trump has railed against the agreement and rallied his Middle East allies Israel and Saudi Arabia as well. After decertifying the deal last October, he agreed to renew it in December, but only as "a last chance," arguing that it did not go far enough to address Iran's ballistic missile development and support for foreign movements.

Oh? So like they go to some bazaar and pick out what nukes they want?
In a sense yes. They would call Pakistan.
I’d bet they already have. Just for defense purposes you know.
I hope it never happens .... but someday, some country is going to get nuked, either by mistake or on purpose.
There are nations which deserve to be nuked. Iran and Saudi Arabia are two of them.
Right. Saudi Arabia funded the Pakis’ nukes. They probably “own” some already.
Then of course the Turks will want in on the fun.
“I hope it never happens .... but someday, some country is going to get nuked, either by mistake or on purpose.”
Same here. About the best we can hope for is that the only hit DC. And hopefully some awful “continuity of Government” plan won’t work.
Can you imagine crawling out of the rubble a few weeks later, and finding the -same- Feds standing there, fresh and clean after emerging from their well stacked hollow mountain, saying “don’t worry everybody, the government is still functioning!”
If they get us nuked, we should at least get a new government outta the deal.
Can you imagine President Mc Cain
Note, too, that the Israelis stopped blaming the Saudis for terrorism and became big pals with them shortly after Kahn went back to Pakistan. Something that I find especially odd since Wahhabism to this day preaches that the Jews have no right to any land in the ME and furthermore, should all be killed.
They have the $$$ to acquire on if they want too. Their other option is seeking an alliance with Israel for nuclear deterrence. The Saudi oil hegemony is gone and we no longer need them like we did twenty years ago. They have to play the game different of die.
The Saudis had better get to work because, thanks to Barack Obama, the Ayatollah has $1.7 billion dollars to finance ongoing nuclear research, production
of nuclear materials, an intact nuclear weapons program, and no onsite inspections to hinder their development and production of nuclear weapons.
Translated: Saudi Arabia HAS a nuke. You just don’t know it yet.
Considering how many buffoon counties that are out there that hate us .... I think the USA is a prime target.
I am old enough to have gone through the Cuban Missile Crisis. But it is worse now. Every Podunk country will have nukes.
I'm one who remembers the Cuban mess, too. I don't know about worse since people in the US were very much afraid of what was going on and are now just drooling on the screen in their phone rather than paying attention. Are we in more dangerous territory than we were then? Yes, absolutely.
When you give it some thought, no country that can beg, borrow, or steal, nukes and/or nasty chemical and biological weapons will do so since they can all look at what happened to Libya after Qaddafi tried to make nice and give up anything the NATO crowd said they shouldn't have.
Not only will they get whatever they can, they'll get very creative with ways to deliver weapons to targets and some may be inclined to prove they have the capability by using a WMD somewhere.
What better reason to establish a total police state that encompasses the US and EU? Gotta protect all those folks glued to their little media machines, right?
It was surreal listening to North Korea change its mind on a whim day by day ... it’s going to be like that ...and worse.
I worry as much if not more about the nut cases in positions of authority in the US as I do about people like Kim. They're cut from the same cloth just not limited by the same realities.
Now they are saying the bridge was being built on “An accelerated method”.
Hmmm ...
