The prosecutors tanked the case on purpose.

Just my opinion.

They turned it into a circus. Instead of putting the best prosecutors on the case they put a token woman and black guy in to play the parts of real prosecutors.

If they convicted him the brothas would have rioted big time again.

That jury was never going to find OJ guilty. It was 100% racial.

Darden should have had a pair of new gloves for OJ to also try on, besides the blood-socked shrunken/shriveled up evidence gloves.

Ben, there is much logic in thinking they tanked it on purpose. I lived in Los Angeles during that time. We just had the Rodney King riots a couple of years before, and everyone was afraid of more, worse riots. This is why the case was moved to downtown L.A. instead of being tried in the jurisdiction where the crime occurred. The media kept the race angle alive. The prosecution made some really boneheaded “mistakes,” and a truly savage double murderer walked. Living there during that time was a searing experience.

“”The prosecutors tanked the case on purpose.””

When it was all over, it was hard to believe otherwise. We lay persons could watch or listen and scream at the points they were missing and not taking on.

I stayed glued to my radio at work and the day the verdict was read, my boss came to my desk to listen and afterward said, “I always thought he was innocent. I never told you this but I sent him cards while he was in jail.”

I was so disgusted, I walked out to the balcony to have a cigarette and seriously thought about having my boss join me so I could push him off. Furious at the jury and at his stupid statement.

One of the young guys in the office said, “I always believed a person was innocent until proven guilty so I never told you how I felt” and I said, “For goodness sake, that didn’t mean you couldn’t have an opinion.”

Wonder if those two have ever been called for jury duty!!!
LOL
