“The current legal state in France is a pedophile’s dream. The present 5-year maximum sentence for sexual conduct with a child under 15 may seem like a deterrent for most law-abiding people, but it’s not much to a pedophile.”

Oh, stop the nonsense, it’s becoming ridiculous! If maximum sentence is the criterion, then no need for a pedophile to go to France, just stay in California, which is much more lenient : sex with a minor can be just qualified as a misdemeanor or a felony with only 1 to 3 years in prison.

I was going to say after seeing your other reply first, I’m just about done with your willful ignorance. California has statutory rape laws while France doesn’t. There’s no state in the US that legally assumes that children can consent. But California being California, it probably is just about as bad as France overall. We’re talking two moral cesspools.
