Former Vice President Al Gore went on the record against the Trump administrations plan to open most U.S. offshore areas to oil and gas drilling, instead supporting New York Gov. Andrew Cuomos plan to pump more taxpayer funds into green energy.
Governor Cuomo is demonstrating outstanding leadership in helping to solve the climate crisis and building a sustainable future, Gore said at New York University on Friday, standing on stage with Cuomo, a Democrat.
Cuomo announced a $1.4 billion plan Friday to fund 26 green energy projects. The governor unveiled plans in February to develop $6 billion worth of offshore wind energy projects through 2030 off Long Island, N.Y. Gore praised Cuomo for his green energy push.
His vision and leadership stand in stark contrast to the Trump administrations malignant mission to make us even more dependent on the dirty and destructive fossil fuels, Gore said.

With Al Gore, it’s always “follow the money.”
Cuomo and ALgore are fools. They have yet to realize it.
We should thank our lucky stars that Gore is so fat, stupid, and thoroughly uneducated. He’s soooooo fitting of a dimbulbcrat senator and sooooo able to convince we “deniers” that we (in our worst moments) know far more science than he could possibly assimilate into a mind capable of only first grade math.
No, Andrew Cuomo is going to pump more money in to the pockets of his cronies who will pretend to "invest" it in "green energy". The same as Obama did on a nation-wide scale.
Hah, funny graphic!
Every time I think Gore must be dead, he pops up like a groundhog’s head into the public eye...
I’m shocked!
Cuomos office claims the $1.4 billion will fund enough green energy to power more than 430,000 homes
Hell of a deal huh??
Gas fired plant $676-$2095 per kilowatt, new construction
let’s say we do it for $1000 per KW and build a 500 MW plant.
that comes to $500 Million,
How Many Houses Can 1 MW Supply?
Conventional wisdom says 1000 houses
On peak: 600 houses
On average: 1,200 houses
Rule of thumb can be misleading
CA ISO now uses 750 houses
Only relevant for dispatchable resources
According to the Solar Energy Industries Association, the number of homes powered by a MW of solar energy depends on average sunshine, electricity consumption, temperature and wind. Nationally, that’s 164 homes per MWa far cry from the ratio of 1 MW:1,000.Mar 18, 2015
as you see this is a Class A BOONDOGGLE!!!
Let’s play Whack-a-Gore.
Anyone else still upset his sequel didn’t win an oscar? I was shocked.
Cueball locked up Nat gas under the southern tier for no reason other than to appease the green lunatics.
10’s of thousands of jobs could have been created in the manufacturing sector in upstate NY.
Instead we have government funding corporate welfare green boondoggles. Drawing money out of the economy for useless windmills that have no hope of meeting base load capacity increases desperately needed. Indian Point will be coming off line soon and its answered with liberal wet dreams such as this.
Prepare for brown outs.
And when was the last time algore flew coach...or rode in a small/mid-sized Ford or Chevy?
No. They’re not. They are very smart con artists who are making a killing through the climate change fraud.
Now the people who believe what they say are beyond fools.
I don’t remember the name but the title song was also nominated, Winter Wonderland
Algore...hmmmm, didn’t he used to be somebody?
Yeah, you’re right - he never was anybody....
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
There was a sequel?
Gore...has been loser.
