Does Florida law permit a recall? If so, someone there needs to get the ball rolling.
All of the more populated counties in Florida already had the “county option” 3 day waiting period on all firearm sales.
Compared to most of the country Florida is still the “gunshine” state.
I will be very happy to see Gov. Walker get primaried...

The law does not ban possession by 18-20 year old persons.

Scott is finishing his last term. No time for a recall.
Hopefully now it will be next in the courts and thrown out as violation of the 2nd amendment. Shame on Scott and the state legislature for having so little respect for the constitution.
FR tends to react that way to gross violations of our God-given right to protect ourselves and our families . . . which by definition also violates our Second Amendment rights.
FR also tends to react that way to gross violations of our God-given right to freedom of religion and to freedom of expression . . . which by definition also violates our First Amendment rights.
FR also tends to react that way to other violations of God's law, most of which are also violations of the Constitution. That respect for the Bible and for the Constitution is the defining feature of Free Republic.
The law is unconstitutional. Just need somebody to step up and challenge it.
I never saw what Floridians saw in Scott: nothing much there!
Nobody ever saw anything in Scott. He won twice running as “not a Democrat.” He’s got the personality of a mortician.
Maybe not possession, but you can’t BUY one, right? That means a straw purchase, which is an end-around the intent of the law.
Why?
I think kids as young as 0 should be allowed to own a gun, and kids who take courses should be allowed to use a gun, even in self-defense. My grandmother used to take her rifle to school to fend off mountain lions in Niles Canyon, CA. Everybody had one, and learned to get along somehow.
Let’s find a kid to get denied. File a lawsuit. Get it overturned.
Good news is the NRA just filed suit against the law. Its also the bad news because the NRA and all its members will be villafied 24/7 until hell freezes over.
At the end day Scott is a Politician and this was a calculation by someone running for a Senate seat. He’s going for a wider appeal thinking the base will stay with him over that idiot Nelson. As Governor he has made some good calls and if we are going to be honest he is light years better the Nelson. Wish he hadn’t signed it but I get it. It just frosts me a bunch of brain washed kids drove this BS and the truth was one of the casualties.
One of the JROTC students in Broward. 18, registered to vote, maybe even signed up for military academy or service, now can’t buy a gun on October 1. Plenty of under 21 service members in Florida, some back from combat zones, can’t buy a gun. Lots of good citizens to challenge the law.
who cares if these totalitarians vilify them, but it would help if a few citizens filed suit as well.
