That the anti-Americans of the 60’s who are now in positions of power in government are freaked out about Russia says to me that Russia actually has changed in a fundamental way, possibly no longer funding those 60’s anti-Americans, although I doubt it’s wise to trust Russia too much in either it’s former communist form or it’s current mob state fascist form. That doesn’t mean we can’t work toward common interests where possible and minimize conflict if possible, but trust isn’t a word that I’d use in association with that country in relation to this one, ever.
Agreed - I support the President’s belief that through informal or formal talks, areas of common interest can found and once working together on one area of interest other areas may be found, and transformation can be had. Hopefully their’s not our’s.
