I believe there has been some recent mention of some foreign countries running steel and aluminum through Mexico and Canada to escape regs. They will surely continue to do that once tariffs are in place, no?

Flakes magic panties are on too tight.
When McCain resigns, moron Flake should do likewise. Born in Snowflake, Arizona, Flake is a graduate of Brigham Young University and was a Mormon missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to South Africa
Perhaps the Older Tanner line overrides the Younger one.

Trump is just starting to put real and long lasting tariffs, hopefully on everything. Dream on Free Traitors, but your day is done.

I love it!
Everyone that whines and moans about every little thing seem to forget that Trump is nobody's fool - maybe they are comparing him to themselves and thinking he should just concede defeat because it's what their wheelhouse is...

Why should we penalize competitive U.S. industrial sectors, including exporters, in order to subsidize less competitive sectors?

Well; we do it in the welfare issue. Competitive?

True. But we presumably don't want to reorganize the productive sectors of the economy as extensions of the welfare state, based ultimately on income redistribution. One can indeed organize an economy that way. It's called "socialism." Doesn't work.
Yes, we need welfare reform but that's a discussion for another day.
