The drinking age in the U.S. is already an absurd 21, where it's lower, sometimes significantly so, in other First World countries. Some blue states are now raising the smoking age to 21.
This country treats people like babies for way too long.

Frankly, I think the age should be raised, along with the voting age!

Scientists now say that the human brain doesn't fully develop until someone is 25 years old. The problem in America is that Liberals want to keep coddling and controlling young adults until they are at least 25, because they will have been fully indoctrinated to believe that the world is suppose to care for them and coddle them for their ENTIRE LIVES!
This crap is all by design! You want to talk about "progress"? George Washington was running his own business doing surveying and mapping across the rugged Virginia landscape when he was 15 years old! Now we have 21 year-old "kids" eating Tide Pods! Great job, you liberal progressives! Great Job!

All of these should be set to the same age - the age of legal adulthood. If we want to make that 18, great, probably where it should be. If we want to make it 21, that's gonna cause all sorts of issues across the board, but at least be consistent.
On a side note, voting needs to be restricted - either landowners, or at least limited to people who net pay taxes.
