You couldn’t be more right. It wasn’t just law enforcement either, from what I’ve read it was politicians from the top down.
0bama and his administrations program to stop arrests in schools to keep them out of the penal system resulted in school districts, law enforcement and politicos turning a blind eye so they’d get more federal funding.
If that’s true it’s criminal in itself.
They might as well broadcast these closed sessions on CSpan.
We know that the most recent occupant of the White House, before President Trump, was willing to run guns to narco-terrorists, supplying weapons to some of the most violent, evil criminals ever to live, to try to bring about gun control.
Why wouldn't they ignore warning signs if it could result in a groundswell of gun control support, especially if they had already planned the next stages for the masses.

I believe Eric Holder and other Obama department heads were set loose to commit vengeance against whites at every level and every community community.

Law enforcement, and guaranteeing the lack of it, was all about Eric Holder and his bat boys. Broward County and Chicago were two gimmes, set up to cover for black crime and stall out any due process. That whole administration was mad and steeped in Reverend Wright and Farrakhan communism.
The carrot was money and grants for rewarding the do nothing LE and feed the Wasserman Schultz style of political greed.
I think most horrific events in the twentieth and twenty-first century in one way or another were allowed to just happen by out right conspiracy or stupidity. Maybe a tinge of tinfoil but I am so cynical now. The pillars of society have been crumbling for a while. The ruling class has a very poor track record and I do not trust them into the future which is becoming more and more unstable/unpredictable.
They ought to make the people responsible stand in a room with the families of the victims and answer every question and listen to every word they have to say. And then they need to get on their knees and beg the families, and God, for forgiveness

Ignoring Cruz was a good call; the FBI has limited resources. The Deep State cannot both protect our children and continue to support #FakeNews “Russia” stories.

Since there is truth in your words, we need to focus great effort on preventing school or other shootings.
The FBI was involved only to the extent it must notify the locls. The FBI knew from experience that the locals would not act.
So, why bother?
And who, pray tell, is going to do it? The FBI? Local LEO's? Politicians? The Media? All who have proven to be abject failures eager to demagogue death for political advantage and/or money?
Another school shooting is on the way and the 2nd Amendment will be among the victims.

Besides examining the conduct and arrangements of the Broward county sheriff’s dept performance failures. A dramatic reduction in disciplinary incidents at Parkside were reported after the selection of Obama’s Chicago friend as school superintendent occurred which was publicly acclaimed.And that school district was receiving large grant money from Obama’s Attorney General because of those results. That many critics claimed encouraged criminal activity. Which should require Trump Administration US Attorney General beside find out why when the FBI knew that Cruz should not be able to purchase weapons did. And review these grant programs instituted by the previous Obama administration.

You’re correct about the use of psych drugs, no coincidence in my view.
Way too many parents and schools suggest drugs for young people so they can put them in a corner and ignore their real problems. Then when something like this school shooting takes place everyone is putting the blame somewhere else.
Politicians act when: A) they are paid to; B) when they think their careers will end if they don’t.
I didn’t mean to imply it would be easy or even possible. We are basically doomed, because the pressure of B is overwhelmingly coming from the vocal, organized anti-gun mob-rule crowd, amplified by the usual leftist media. 2nd Amendment supporters will do absolutely nothing but whine. As you say, the next school shooting (maybe a few) will be the end of semi-autos, which will open the door to confiscating everything else including liberty of any sort.
Things that would minimize mass shootings:
1) Outlaw violent video games. These don’t affect normal minds, but for nuts, thee are basically murder-spree trainers. Does mindless entertainment outweigh children’s lives?
2) Require enhanced analysis and reporting before psychotropic meds are dispensed, with LEO ramifications.
3) Lock up schizophrenics that display violent tendencies, instead of letting them run loose under the dream that they will keep taking their meds on their own. Major civil liberties problems, but life isn’t fair.
4) Limit purchase and possession of firearms by individuals diagnosed with serious mental problems and/or on certain psych meds. Allow due process appeals to courts.
5) Ban “Diversionary Discipline” and other leftist programs that destroy schools by treating serious crime as a school disciplinary matter instead of a criminal justice matter.
6) Require the military and government agencies to actually send in their data to the NICS Database.
Every one of them violates someone’s rights and has a major downside. But every one of them would do much more to reduce violent crime and murder than more unenforced paper laws against firearms. Therefore there is no chance they will be tried.
