Ted Cruz goes on a jingle offensive against new Democratic opponent

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, went on offense in the wake of Texas primary victory on Tuesday and released an ad targeting his Democratic challenger in a country jingle that warns, “If you’re going to run in Texas, you can’t be a liberal, man.” Cruz tweeted the clip, which played to the tune of Alabama’s “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas.”

The tweet came shortly after Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, easily advanced to the November matchup. O’Rourke faces an uphill climb. Cruz received more votes than every Democratic candidate in their primary combined.

— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) March 7, 2018 The ad says O’Rourke “wants to take our guns” and calls him “liberal Robert,” referring to his given first name, and says he “changed his name to Beto.” The new ad signals a serious race ahead in the upcoming midterm election in November.

Energized Democratic voters appeared in droves on Tuesday primary elections not seen in more than a decade to prove the party’s intention to try to oust the incumbent Republican senator. "The voters of Texas will have a clear choice in November.

Congressman O’Rourke is a left-wing, liberal Democrat, and is running as a vocal proponent of amnesty and open borders,” Cruz said in the statement on Tuesday. O’Rourke released a statement saying that the polls show him within “striking distance” of the “junior Senator from Texas, and we've already out-raised Cruz multiple times with grassroots donations alone, without taking a dollar from PACs.”

Ted Cruz could be a great Senator from Texas if he keeps his mind on that.

It looks like the MSM’s Texas Blue Wave turned into a Red Tsunami instead!

“If you’re going to run in Texas, you can’t be a liberal, man.”

While I voted for Cruz (and will in the General), and agree with him...Ted had better not rest on his laurels. I’m quite sure that he’ll win, and pretty handily at that, but let’s bury these Leftist bastards and their dreams of turning Texas, and the rest of the country, to the Dark Side. Bury them - DEEP!

Classic political strategy, “define your opponent early” anyone remember, “I voted for it before I voted against it!” John Kerry was forever known as a “flip flopper”

If you want President Trump's judicial nominees approved, support Senator Cruz.

If you want President Trump's "America First" immigration policies enacted into law, support Senator Cruz.

If you want President Trump's "America First" trade policies enacted into law, support Senator Cruz.

If you want President Trump's "America First" border security policies enacted into law, support Senator Cruz.

If you support President Trump's desire to Make America Great Again, support Senator Cruz.

A vote for anyone other than Trump Cruz is a vote for Hillary Burrito Boy.

If you want to see President Trump impeached and removed from office ... Burrito Boy is for you.

If you're not a complete idiot ...

TED CRUZ FOR US SENATE

Good news, but we cannot remain complacent. Nothing is a given, considering the Democrats' penchant for election theft and other crimes.

Vote like we're 5 points behind.

<<< “ If you want to see President Trump impeached and removed from office ... Burrito Boy is for you.” >>

Personally, I couldn’t trust or dare bet the farm that if Cruz thought it to be a sure and majority vote to impeach Trump, and risk free to himself, that he too would be only too happy to step right up and vote to impeach the president.

That being said, Texas conservatives, and RINOS alike, would vote for a goat before voting for O’Roark.

Sending a deep red message in Texas is very important, as we see the USA besieged with communists, both on the ground and saturating every institution.

Example: Republicans do not want to take back academia, the teaching industry of universities, public education, nor their perpetual outcomes. (Republican conservative voters do not want to take over local school boards, either).

I donated to Rubio’s first campaign, mistakenly believing he was a tea party candidate.
I never did that again.

As long as he keeps his political ambitions confined to Texas, all is well.

You are in MS, you have a unique opportunity this year.
You could flip from having two Bush League Republican Senators to having two Senators that side with the citizens and the rule of law.
Wicker needs to be Cantorized by McDaniel and a conservative elected to replace Cochran.

Same here - Cruz is a bit different than Rubio though - especially with the Dems so rabidly focused on taking seats.
