Gun consfiscation is only marginally effective with someone who might simply go on to steal a gun, or use some other method to kill people.

Yep. If that Kid in Florida, had no gun and wasn’t able to get one, he could have simply stolen a car, and drove into the crowd when school dismissed-maybe even killed and injured more than he allegedly did.
