Colorado Republicans still overwhelmingly approve of the job President Trump is doing, but feel less enthusiastic about Congress and are still wondering for whom they should vote in the governors race this year
...
A full 39 percent of those surveyed said they were undecided about which Republican theyd support in the primary, which is just months away.
...
State Treasurer Walker Stapleton garnered the most support among those who did have a choice, with 26 percent of respondents saying hed have their vote. Attorney General Cynthia Coffman came in second in the poll, with 13 percent of respondents saying theyd support her. Doug Robinson received 8 percent; Victor Mitchell got 5 percent, and 9 percent of respondents chose other.
...
Forty-three percent of those surveyed said that enforcing federal immigration law was the top issue governor's race candidates should be focused on. Roads and transportation (13 percent), state government spending (10 percent) and public education (9 percent) came in far behind immigration as the most-important issues.
...
The Colorado caucuses take place Tuesday and are the first step toward candidates for governor getting on the primary ballot.

Still early. Go to your precinct caucus tonight.
57 county commissioners from 33 counties endorse Republican gubernatorial candidate Walker Stapleton.
GOP candidates taking the caucus and assembly route including Attorney General Cynthia Coffman, Larimer County Commissioner Lew Gaiter III, former Parker Mayor Greg Lopez and former Trump campaign official Steve Barlock will have to win the support of at least 30 percent of delegates to the partys April 14 state assembly in Boulder, a process that starts at precinct caucuses Tuesday night.

Stapleton seems to be saying the right things. But then, so did Gardner.

Yeah. I know. He’s history.
But it was a nice thought. Colorado really, really needed him.
