Rev. Graham did what he was called to do, bring people to Jesus. He never shied away when asked directly about morality, and he led by example.

You might want to rethink that.
According to a recent Pew Forum survey, 19 percent of conservatives are unaffiliated with any particular religion, and 14 percent of atheists identify as conservative.

Yes. Nobody’s perfect. But graham helped a lot of people. Far more than George Will (or me) and when someone passes on, I like to remember their good points. I don’t appreciate critical essays very much at this time. It just doesn’t seem cricket. Excepting for seriously evil Satanic basturds like Hitler or abbas

61 years after 1957, hardly anyone knows or cares who Reinhold Niebuhr was, but Billy Graham is beloved by and influential for countless millions of people.
