Holy hell. I do not want that school shot up but I do wonder how those who suspended him would feel if theyd been shot or seen their coworkers pass away before their eyes.
When I was young I didnt like guns or think about them much. Then my roommate was raped at knifepoint in our apartment. That night, late, when we couldnt sleep (remaining roommate and our boyfriends), we were sitting in the living room facing the window where the creep had broken in, hours earlier. One of the guys asked me what I would do if he came back in, and I had a gun. There was no hesitation: Id blow him away. That was the day I understood guns for self defense. Our cocktail waitress next door neighbor told us it wouldnt have happened to her since she slept with a pistol beside her bed.
One of my college friends who came to college after some time in Vietnam, slept with a loaded 1911 45 auto under his pillow. No sane person would have entered his apartment at night. Criminal are not all sane, but one entering his place would have exited dead.
He was a great person, but everybody knew not to mess with him.
I had an occasion in college where I had to produce my 20 gauge shotgun to protect myself. I assure you, when the breach closed, like a covey of quail the threats vanished.
