Coddling those engaged in bad behavior is a much better guarantee of their future criminality than holding them to the same standards as everyone else would be. It’s racist when those on the left pretend minority children are incapable of behaving in a civilized manner. I suspect the left’s policies even contributes to thugs getting shot by cops - a lifetime habit of being combative with no consequences is hard to break.
