SDF calls on UN to stop Turkish invasion, abide to UN Security Council resolution (Efrin, Syria)

The Syrian Democratic Force (SDF) on Thursday called on the UN to stop the Turkish invasion and to demand Turkey to follow the UN Security Council resolution that includes Afrin in its 30-days ceasefire.

“The UN Security Council unanimously adopted its resolution 2401 at its meeting on Saturday, February 24th, 2018, on the basis of a draft submitted by the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Sweden, which explicitly provided for the cessation of all combat operations by all parties on all Syrian territory for at least one month,” SDF spokesperson Kino Gabriel said.

“The Turkish state and its allied extremist factions strike the international will and UN Security Council resolution, they are brutally continuing their aggression by directly bombing the civilian populated city of Afrin and its towns and villages, and bombarding vital facilities, including drinking water stations and pumps,” he added.

The SDF in an earlier statement said that Afrin welcomed the UN Security Council resolution and declared its full commitment, adding they would only act in self-defence.

“We call upon the UN Security Council to abide its decision, take its responsibility and apply a monitoring mechanism for the violations of the Turkish state and its allied extremist factions and force them to stop their invasion and subject them to the UN Security Council resolution,” Kino said.

“The claims made by the Turkish state that Afrin is not included by the international resolution is only an attempt to turn the truth that Afrin is part of the Syrian territory. This clearly reveals the Turkish ambitions to cut off parts of the Syrian territory in a colonial operation under fake claims and futile pretext,” he concluded.

Turkey received green light from Assad, Iran and Russia to attack a peaceful Efrin region of Syria. Assad has denounced Turkey's invasion, but not acted to send SSA forces or shoot down Turkish planes.

Over 200 civilians have been killed by the attacks including many women and children. Thousands of civilians have been injured. That is documented by Human Rights reporting groups.

Turkey is being Turkey, ignoring and insulting the entire world because they want to? Like the NORKS?

But, But, But, Turkey is a NATO Member. Headshake.

Do you really think the UN wants to stop any new Hitler. Especially if he is Muslim? The UN is a Muslim institution now.

Umm
That sounds waaaay too simplistic
Who is Turkey killing and why?
Who is helping them ?
Who benefits from a Turkish invasion into Syria?
Other than maybe 350,000 refugees in Tutkey who can go home after the Turks clean house? ( Turkish version)
Where are the American SF and agency mercenaries fighting?
With what side?

Turk invasion hardly benefits Syria Iran or Russia
Unless you count the kurds identifying as Syrians and lining up with the SAA to fight Turk invaders

Turkey received green light from Assad, Iran and Russia to attack a peaceful Efrin region of Syria.

That's what the MSM would say without pointing out that Western US/Globalist supported Islamic Terrorist forces commonly called "Moderate Syrian Rebels", controlled and occupied the area, NOT Assad and/or Russia.

Assad, Iran and the Russians simply refused to provide air cover for the Islamic Terrorist "Fighters" that were trying to kill them.

Assad has denounced Turkey's invasion, but not acted to send SSA forces or shoot down Turkish planes.

Ya think?

Islamic Terrorists and their supporters are the problem here, not Assad or Russia and they have no choice but to work with the Iranian Islamic Terrorists because they are THERE (and NOT going away) and are currently not opposing Assad.

Russia is a minor player in the creation and gigantic growth of this Islamic Terrorist "Democracy" (Mob Rule) in the Middle East, and Assad is inconsequential.

To fix it will require having it out between the US, NATO and Turkey, and refusing to do the Islamic Terrorist dirty work for them or give them air cover or any other kind of cover.
