The FBI may have violated criminal statutes, as well as its own strict internal procedures, by using unverified information during the 2016 election to obtain a surveillance warrant on onetime Trump campaign aide Carter Page, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee charged Thursday in a letter obtained by Fox News.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., wrote in his letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions that in this instance, its clear that basic operating guidance was violated.
Nunes cited the Domestic Investigations and Operations Guide (DIOG), which was created by the bureau and approved by the Justice Department, to say he believed the FBI violated procedures requiring verified and documented evidence in applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
An Oct. 2011 version of the operations guide states that the accuracy of information contained within FISA applications is of utmost importance... Only documented and verified information may be used to support FBI applications to the court.
The guidance also states that information in a FISA application must be thoroughly vetted and confirmed.

Isn’t this really old news? And also “may have” news?
“Nunes: FBI may have violated criminal statutes in FISA application to spy on Trump adviser Carter”
Don’t tell Sessions...he might not do anything.
L.O.L!!
#PRUITTCANDOIT !!!!!!!
He'll put it under his pillow and hope the Litigation Fairy will take it and leave him a dollar.
I believe your right.
What’re these “may have” weasel words?
This is sounding familiar, like all the Congressional hearings.
Just say it, Nunes. What law was violated, what is the evidence. Then recommend indictment by name.
Put it on the line.
Any reasonable prosecutor was aware of the history of Arkanside.
In other news, the Pope is a communist.

Don’t ya know. They have a higher calling to promote socialism, and an eventual socialist world government. They view themselves as the Intellectual Elite that will rule. The goal in their minds justifies the end. Lie, steal, betray, subvert, but always wear the mask of “citizens of the world”.
They also view using the Muslim Brotherhood (CAIR etc.) as a tool to destroy Western Civilization, as a just act. They really think that once that genie is out of the bottle they can re cork it.
well worth reading it all:
1 March: WSJ: How to Probe the FBI
Trump is wrong. Inspector General Michael Horowitz is the man for the job
By Kimberley A. Strassel
Donald Trump is rightly frustrated that so many in Washington and the media refuse to take seriously the evidence that the government abused its surveillance powers during the 2016 election. Still, lets remember who the bad guys are in this story. Hint: not Attorney General Jeff Sessions or Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz...

“The creeps always get away with it.”
Except for that guy with the weird middle name...what was it? Oh yeah “Milhous.” What WAS the serious crime he supposedly committed? Except he was one of the good guys. The creeps will never, ever do the honorable thing and die on their own swords.
Interesting theory you have there, U.S. A few years ago you would have been branded a conspiracy theory kook. But today it sounds plausible and possible.
The criminality of the Democrat party and the career civil servants loyal to Clinton who were involved in the initiation of this phony investigation of Trump during an election campaign is more than obvious... The problem is... The investigators can’t investigate themselves, nor should they.
So who is going to investigate this treasonous mess?
Somebody needs to appoint a special prosecutor and maybe they are waiting for the IG report, but why is that taking so long? Where are the conclusions, the obvious one being that there are some very serious concerns about abuse and security breeches within the FBI, the CIA and the Justice Department.
These agencies were utilized by elements within the Democrat party to derail Trump’s election chances and if that failed, then to derail his presidency. This is the biggest scandal in American political history and nothing is being done.
This is mind boggling at it’s worst.
So hopefully this is all distraction on Trump’s part. Hopefully the I.G. will name names, and the D.O.J. will issue indictments against all the bad actors in this mess.

“and the career civil servants loyal to Clinton”
Maria Bartiromo asked Sessions about the need for a Special Counsel to look at all of the FBI and DOJ power abuses.
Sessions couldn't give a straight answer. He mentioned his recusal. And then he said something about such prosecutions, "being in the hands of Mr. Mueller and supervised by the Acting Attorney General for this investigation, Rod Rosenstein, a proven professional and Deputy Attorney General".
Apparently Sessions thinks that Rosenstein will supervise his own prosecution.
