Well, again today we’ve had rain clouds pass over us...thanks!...but not one drop of rain from them. This is becoming ridiculous!
Other than that, my day was good. Even got a bit of work done, Ghost showed up twice, and tonight when I called him, he loped up the sidewalk. That’s progress. He was happy to come! Still can’t get close enough to touch him.
Sorry the rain there is getting to be a real pain. Seems like this year is going to be feast or famine no matter what.

We well understand your frustration. That has happened to us too often over the years. We’ll probably be begging for rain this summer when we need it for the crops. LOL
Just checked the gauge and we’ve gotten 2.9 inches so far and it’s coming down pretty hard. This isn’t going to let up until sometime late tomorrow. They whole yard has been rivulets and puddles all day.

Great to hear Ghost is getting better about showing up when you call, and that loping does show progress. One of these days ....... :-)

I sure am glad you got your groceries yesterday or whenever it was that it wasn’t so wet. Nothing much worse than soggy, heavy grocery bags. The planting season should be pretty good for y’all since the ground will be nice and damp. Will help the seeds. Now if it’ll just keep it up...lightly...for the rest of the growing season.

I think the farmers out here are going to have a bust season this year. Last year were record cotton produced, but there hasn’t been ANY rain in the places where they grow it, north of us.

The other day, our humidity was at 5%. Not even kidding.

Home safe and sound. Food on board. Seems the ducks won’t come up til dark, so they haven’t been fed. Gotta get more duck food this weekend....150# of cracked corn in 4 weeks...lots of hungry duckies!

Roads were quite slick and there were several idiot drivers. Intersections like washboards, and always trying to suck you out of your lane.

All I have to do is turn my head just a bit and look out the office window....a beautiful almost full moon.

I’m glad I did the shopping yesterday too! LOL! It would have been a real mess today, bringing in all those soggy groceries. It’s one thing if it’s sprinkling but it’s been pretty steadily heavy today. Still is.

It’ll have to be dry for a while before planting can be dome but it isn’t close to planting time yet. There’s time. You can plant in mud so we’re glad it’s not time for it.

It’s going to be terrible for TX farmers if y’all don’t get some rain SOON. You need the water table built up badly. Way too low at this point. :-(
And thinking about 5% humidity makes my skin hurt. Ugh!

Glad you got home in one piece. Luck has been with you! Those streets do look like a misery to drive on.

Yeowy! You DO have a lot of duckies showing up for supper, don’t you? They went through that bag of corn fast!

Wish we could see the moon tonight. At least we’ll be able to see it when it’s full this weekend.

Good evening, mountainlion....glad you got a little snow, sorry it all melted away.

Half the winter has been ice...I hate it!! The last couple days have produced a little over a foot of snow, with zero temps due tonight.

Stay warm!

Isn’t it funny how this year has been? Totally frozen tundra in parts and we haven’t had winter. Flooding where you are and nothing here. Thank God we haven’t had any major fires yet! It’s pretty windy out there right now. Not sure what that means. LOL! Sure won’t be a cold front!

Had to let Peaches in. He was fighting with another cat, and I don’t think it was Ghost. I saw a black fluffy one out there. Darn. I didn’t know we HAD so many strays. That’s what I get for trying to feed just one.

It HAS been a weird winter, that’s for sure. It’ll be nice when it’s over!
We have a lot of trees and flowers in bloom right now and they say we’re going to get down to freezing Fri. night. NOT good!

With you living in a subdivision, those might not be strays hanging around. Could be cats just out and about with homes to go to, like Peaches and Ginger. They just happen to check your place out once in a while.

I hope that’s all it is. I know there’s a 1/2 grown black short hair that comes around, loves to “talk” and has a little collar. Very friendly, and I did check to see if the collar still fit. if it was too small, I would have found a way to cut it off.

We have our first daffodil blooming! The blooms are small, though, probably from lack of moisture. It was good to see its cheery yellow head though. I’ll bet yours are beginning to look great. Hope the colder weather doesn’t get them!

More than likely that’s all it is. I’ve had several visitors when I’ve lived in towns and though I didn’t feed them, I loved on them. It’s common.

Yay for a splash of color in your yard! It lifts the spirits when flowers start blooming, doesn’t it? We have several daffodils blooming now and more will bloom later. The different varieties bloom at different times. Makes for a long-play showing.

Our camellia bush finally opened a few blooms today and that was a perk-up.

Don’t know how Fri. night’s temps will affect them. If there isn’t a frost, too, they should be ok.
