Man accused of hate crime at UNLV

A man has been arrested after a hate crime inside of UNLV’s Student Union on Friday, police said.

Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested Gino Flinn in a battery that happened about 11 a.m. Friday inside the union, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway, UNLV police announced. Campus police identified Flinn as a suspect on Monday.

Flinn remained in Clark County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon on a count of battery resulting in substanial bodily harm with a hate crime enhancement.

That's right. "Hate Crime" legislation is the certain gateway to tyranny. The idea of "hate" is too subjective of concept to be written into law if justice is to remain blind.

The potential for the exploitation of such laws by the incorporation of the personal biases of the authors of "hate" legislation is enormous.

There should be no "hate" legislation on any books any where in the United States of America. Battery is battery. Assault is assault. A person is not exactly exhibiting love for another person to batter or assault them. That's already assumed.

Hate crimes are a political exploit written into law. Plain and simple.

The reason “hate crime” laws are bound to fail is that it addresses what is the domain of man to punish. God gave the Law to Man. The Law says that man’s duty is to forbid action which is contrary to God’s Law. Man has no domain on punishment of the thoughts or hearts of men - that is God’s and God’s alone. Man arrogating to himself the dominion of God is original folly and original sin.
