I read somewhere that Lambo was provided by a dealership as a publicity stunt. It was given a temporary vinyl wrap (not painted) to give it the appearance you see in the picture. Following the event, it was returned to the dealership and was not actually purchased by the Sheriff’s department.
True? Not true?
I don’t know.
__________
That's a pretty tight, neat "vinyl wrap".
;-)
He does not own a Lamborghini; nor does the sheriff’s office. It was just a cover on the car for publicity of some sort.
Somewhere along the line the corvette was guilty of something and it became the DARE officials car. A two year conviction for embezzlement later the car disappeared from where it normally sat when not being used. Dont know if we sold it or not.

National Review- Back in 2014, the Broward Sheriffs Office reached an agreement with Prestige Imports of Miami to wrap a $250,000 Lamborghini Aventador in police logos as part of a Toys in the Sun event for the charity Toys for Tots. The car was rented by the Sheriffs office for ten dollars, and the car was wrapped in the decals and logos at no cost to the taxpayers. It was towed to and from the event.
