She does need to dump him, but eagles aren’t like people. I’d sure love it if that third egg survives. She has spent so much time in very cold weather trying to make it so.
Sometimes you just don’t have a choice about airplanes. The first time I flew, I went all the way to Germany with my hubby. I don’t think I closed my eyes the entire way across the Atlantic. LOL! It got easier. Had to come home, ya know. Actually twice. We were called home when my mom was dying. It was extra hard to go back over and leave my Dad standing there alone at the airport.
So glad y’all got to dry out a bit today. You’ve now had more rain since the first of the year than we get IN a year. And it’s way worse this year. .23 since January 1st at the airport. Nothing here at the house.
Good evening, Luv...I’m getting dizzy with all that rolling. LOL!
Unless that dunce male starts brooding the egg when she takes off, count it out. She was off it quite a bit this afternoon so it’s probably already history. Just too cold for that.
Oh, I always have a choice when it comes to planes! LOL! I don’t go anywhere I’d need to fly. Period. If I can’t drive there, I simply won’t go. Not that I get to go anywhere with all these cats. :-)
We were thrilled to have a sunny day and have a chance to dry out a little. The weatherman said we should be sunny most of the day tomorrow, too, then we can expect 2+ inches tomorrow night through Wed. night. GLUB
Sure wish we could share some of it with you. Y’all are desperately in need.
LOL! That seems to be the consensus from watching it!
Hope you had a good day today! Did you finally get a fix on your being locked out of FR? Getting more snow?
Well, with any luck, they will know some stuff by nesting season next year or the original pair will be back first. I wonder where they are making their home now? They need to lay, too.
How is the lake behind your place looking? Hope it doesn’t get over the banks like all the waterways in Kentucky have done. The river there at Dale Hollow looks way up and very muddy!
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
I’d prefer the original pair go back to that nest but if they have to go somewhere else, they might stick with that nest instead. boohiss!
The lake here is in good shape. It’s pretty full but not up to summer pool. TVA releases enough through the dam to keep it from going over its banks most of the time. If there’s a heck of a lot of rain and releasing water would cause a lot of flooding downstream, then the river floods a few of the lower spots along the banks. It becomes the lake at the back of our farm and from here to the dam is all hills. Boat docks might sit higher than they should but the houses are all high up. The back of the farm drops off in a high bluff so we’ll never flood.
Dale Hollow is like Tims Ford . . more like a wide, deep river than a lake. I haven’t gone across the bridge in a few days but I imagine the water’s pretty muddy here, too, right now.
It’s nice to be on high ground when it’s so rainy!
Guess I’d better head out. The cats are back in. Peaches was fussing with Ghost and I didn’t want to wait till it escalated to blows. LOL! So, I’ll be awake a lot again tonight. Didn’t have them last night, but I kept having weird dreams that would wake me up.
It’s always something. LOL! See ya tomorrow for the wonderful weekly quiz! Yay! :)
It does help a lot to be on high ground and be on ground with a gentle slope. But we still have a few spots that pond up when it rains a lot. At least it does drain eventually.
Oh boy! You have Peaches for company tonight. LOL! But it IS better than having him beaten up by Ghost.
Good luck getting a decent night’s sleep.
Catch ya tomorrow evening.
Why not?
Highway driving at night or in bad weather is awful! I avaoid it even in summer.
I have devised my own little routes around S. MA to get to where I am going. Sometimes it takes longer, but the scenery is charming, the pace is slower, and it is so much less stressful.
Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
Hope you and Bo are having a good week so far! Is it warming up there in OK? Makes for better walks for sure! Should be seeing some turtles before long! Bo will like that!
It’s warming up a little. Have some rain and storms in the area right now. Just some rain and thunder but that’s about it.
Send us some of the rain when you’re through with it, ok? :)
Hope it’s not too wet for y’all to get out for a while! Have a good one!
