Police officers responding to last week’s Florida school shooting thought they were tracking Nikolas Cruz live on surveillance video — but then realized the footage was delayed by nearly 30 minutes because it was rewound, tossing roadblocks into the frantic efforts to capture the 19-year-old shooting suspect.
Responding officers were watching security footage in Broward School District that occurred 20 minutes prior, leaving them in the dark when attempting to look for Cruz in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 13, the Sun Sentinel first reported Wednesday. Cruz was captured in Coral Springs, located about a mile away, more than an hour after the start of the shooting.

That’s absurd.
But somehow the NRA is to blame.
As a standard Broward and Miami-Dade practice, when school law enforcement need to cover-up or hide behavior, they need time (when that behavior happens) to delete the evidence trail. As such the school policy -as carried out in practice- is more efficient with a 30 minute tape delay affording the school officer enough time to deal with the situation, then erase the possibility of a recording of the unlawful activity surfacing.
Building in a 30 minute delay on the CCTV system was one of those pesky add-on items that happened a few years ago when the School and Law Enforcement officials established the policy of intentionally not arresting students. With modern technology it’s tough to hide criminal behavior, especially the violent stuff, when it is being recorded. Duh. Ergo the tape-delay was the best-practice workaround.
Sheriff Israel was asked to comment about the time delay school videos that supposedly “confused” Broward PD.
Israel hesitated a second, then said, “Oh, am I the sheriff?”
Would the deputies had gone in if it was live? No. Because they thought it was live.
Either it is secret and can’t be released to the public or the cameras didn’t work—business as usual for the Deep State.
Rewound? So I guess the DVD rewinders weren’t really a scam?
I have read that the 20 minute delay was built into the system so the SROs could delete videos of crimes before they were archived. Everything was destroyed in service to the effort to reduce the reporting of crimes by students in order improve the statistics.
Slowly the truth comes out.

Does the ‘conservative treehouse” have any evidence of actual instances where school video in Broward County was actually deleted in order to conceal acts of violence?

It is absolutely not correct. This is a digital system like a DVR that can play in any time sequence. Writer is either an idiot or thinks we are.
When are the parents of these students going to take to the streets in protest of all the incompetence of this county????
