Analysis: Mueller is about to take a big step closer to Trump
MSN News ^ | 02/23/2018 | Philip Bump

To date, four people have pleaded guilty to charges brought against them by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and his team. Two were ancillary characters: a businessman who apparently sold bank account numbers to Russian trolls and a lawyer who’d worked with former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his longtime partner Rick Gates.

Two were closer to the campaign. One is campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, whose connections to Russia-linked characters helped spur the initial investigation in July 2016 into whether President Trump’s campaign had aided Russian interference efforts. And then there’s Michael Flynn, a campaign aide who wound up as Trump’s national security adviser. Both Papadopoulos and Flynn have apparently agreed to work with Mueller’s team in its investigation, but it’s not clear how much either knew about what the campaign was doing. Flynn’s role was the same on paper as Papadopoulos’s, but he was clearly closer to Trump.

Neither, though, is known to have had intimate familiarity with what the Trump campaign effort looked like. Which makes Friday’s news of an intent by Gates — both a campaign staffer and, before that, a Manafort partner — to cooperate with Mueller potentially very significant.

Let’s see....

Shotgun Bob indicts all of Russia for being...Russian

The Persecution of Paul Manafort for being a registered Republican continues, with all who can think being horrified and aghast at the shocking abuse being heaped on him by a crooked, partisan thug who is showing a nation why he never should have had an ounce of legal power

Not one Rat Party operative has so much as had his name brought up by Our Hero Bob and His Merry Band of Inquisitors

Disgusting that anyone thinks our ancestors fought and died to legitimize a corrupt, unjust “justice” system dominated by guys like this guy

Dana Perino and her group of RINOS praising Mueller and sounding like idiots trying to extend some tax evasion by Gates as if it’s corruption by Trump. Even speculating on “Russian correlation” even though none is charged or exists.

This whole farce just proves the maxim about indicting a ham sandwich.

ANYONE could be charged with a federal crime any day of the week. ANYONE.

We hasten to note that there is no public evidence at this time that Trump campaign staff directly sought to aid Russian interference efforts. But some significant moments at which the campaign drifted close to that point involve Manafort directly. Most notably, there’s that meeting in June 2016 at Trump Tower, which included Donald Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort. This is the meeting with the Kremlin-linked attorney and the Russian lobbyist that was predicated on the promise of incriminating information about Hillary Clinton delivered by the Russian government. (“I love it,” Trump Jr. said when it was offered.)

This was the meeting that was SET UP BY THE FBI, AND WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN PLACE without them.................

Didn’t all these crime happen while Mueller was head of the FBI? Funny that he didn’t care enough about them to do anything while they were HIS responsibility.

I wonder how many indictments a special prosecutor, with unlimited money and only republican prosecutors, could bring against the actions of Democrat politicians over the last 15 years.

“The Dems are playing for time to delay the day of reckoning that they know is coming.”

They want to run out the clock with the hopes they retake the Senate and Congress. This way they can impeach Trump and remove him from office. Fortunately, since Trump hasn’t committed any high crimes or misdemeanors, this will be brought to SCOTUS who will throw it out.

The only reason I can come up with to not fire Mueller (and, Rosenstien) is it is the only ways to get the Bolshies to buy in with the results. F#ck’em.

Can Trump give everyone Mueller indicts a pardon. and, make it known that is what he is doing. Would Mueller still have job to do?

Leftist fake stream media analysis: Hillary has a 98% chance of winning ...

(BTW, there is NO closer step “to Trump” because it’s all bullshit - Trump broke no laws and didn’t “collude” with anyone, much less the Russians. The left simply can’t accept that Trump won and they were so completely wrong about everything, so they have to make up phony hidden conspiracies.)

It’s plead, not pleaded....asshat...

Actually pleaded is correct. Sometimes pled is used. Plead is not the past tense.

Does anyone find it odd that Mitch McConnell said we’re going to lose seats, and he’s not saying anything about Mueller?
