I don’t have time to read ... is this a pro-amnesty lawyer, or a pissed off American being infringed upon by an intrusive government ?

I have a feeling its a pro-amnesty lawyer. The article quotes an ACLU attorney complaining about invasion of privacy and never addresses the criminality going on at the border crossings. As one of story comments suggested the article tries to frame the problem as a constitutional issue and foreshadows the filed day the ACLU will have with a virtual wall as opposed to a real wall which would solve most of these problems.
I recommend reading the article because it demonstrates how one malcontent can really gum things up.
