A St. Louis grand jury has indicted Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens on a felony invasion of privacy charge related to the Republican's affair with a woman in 2015.
St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner announced the indictment Thursday. She launched an investigation in January after Greitens admitted to an affair with his St. Louis hairdresser that began in March 2015. He was elected governor in November 2016.

This can't help but have an impact on the Senate race. Hawley is Attorney General. He can't help but be involved in this. McCaskill will have a field day with it.

Whatever it takes to get Democrats elected. If Greitens has been able to keep it in his pants then none of this would have happened.

Indicted? For having an affair?
But, but, I thought Bill Clinton established the precedent that its nobody’s business but his!

Meanwhile, Nashville’s mayor is not resigning....

He was not in office at the time and she cut his hair a few times. Remember this is an AP wire story of the old media empire. Greitens is an excellent governor and has never held office at any level. He is not a politician, but was a Navy Seal.

It’s not the affair; it’s the extortion.
To: Paladin2
He has a Hair Dresser? In every possible sense. Which is what got him into trouble in the first place.

Indicted? For having an affair? No, felony invasion of privacy. It was right there in the first paragraph.

Aha! Maybe Nashville WILL get justice? She’s like a privet hedge, though; hard to dig out the invasive roots!

“The woman told her husband, who was secretly taping the conversation, that Greitens took a compromising photo of her at his home and threatened to use it as blackmail if she spoke about the affair. A news release from Gardner says it is a felony if a person transmits an image “in a manner that allows access to that image via a computer.”

What is the crime? Took naked pics of the woman he had the fling with and threatened to blackmail her if she went public with the affair.

This happened in the city of St. Louis, which is why the highly partisan City Attorney pressed for charges. This was the same prosecutor who went after a police officer for the murder of a heroin dealer even after the Fed's had cleared him. After the officer was easily acquitted, the city had riots and protests for weeks.
This is a total politically motivated charge and will stir up all kinds of trouble for the state.

Greitens is an excellent governor and has never held office at any level. He is not a politician, but was a Navy Seal. Did he learn philandering while in the Navy Seals?
He may be a good governor but this is entirely self-inflicted. If he did what he's accused of then it's hello Governor Parson.

His crime is he is an excellent republican governor and the rats are out to get him. His failing is that he couldn't keep his pants on, so he gave the Dems all the ammunition they needed. And if he did what he's charged with then he needs to resign.

This happened in the city of St. Louis, which is why the highly partisan City Attorney pressed for charges. Then he should have screwed his constituent in Jeff City. Just like the rest of the legislature.
