A Wimberley man being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a traffic stop last month has been released. Kyle Police arrested Victor Alejandro Avendano-Ramirez on January 30 for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. He had two warrants for his arrest for charges of driving without a license and violating promise to appear in court, both Class C misdemeanors. While he was being booked, police say Avendano told them he was not a US citizen and was born in Mexico. The sheriff's office then informed ICE of his status, and their agents took custody of him on January 31. He was released Tuesday night.

Maybe he was an Obama DACA?
Everyone of those illegals should be granted citizenship because Chuck and Nancy want it that way.
This is the week that we let 17-year-olds dictate what our laws should be.
From the article:
Avendano’s family and friends said the punishment doesn’t fit the crime.
“It was early in the morning, tired, going to work, 5 o’clock in the morning. I feel like a stop sign should not separate me from my dad,” said Nataly Avendano, Victor’s 17-year-old daughter.
Mexican invader.
First of all, any consequences of the traffic stop fall on Avendano, not the cops, not ICE, not even the stop sign.
I would say there are other factors, to wit: two warrants for driving without a license and failing to appear and the FACT that HE IS IN THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY. Am I missing something? Have logic, reason, and facts completely left the building?
If this were a citizen, he would be in JAIL! Warrants for FAILURE TO APPEAR IN COURT?? Driving WITHOUT A Licence??
He should appear before a Judge, and YES DEPORTED after serving TIME if he does or has done it again!
Seize the illegal alien invader’s ill-gotten assets. Deport him immediately. Shoot him if he returns illegally.
No. This is a guy who goes down to San Antonio with his family, they push their way around the HEB or COSTCO make all the staff speak Spanish and the heck with any Texan throwing the red carpet out for them. If you have something to say about it keep it to yourself no one will help you least of all the store manager.
I thought catch-and-release was ended! And this guy has a record. What’s it take, him killing someone?!
Yes, unless they are convicted of harming or killing someone, they are not being removed.
Apparently we do have to wait for that.
