We used to think of the FBI as OUR FBI, patriotic professionals who were there to protect America. Now we see that they represent the people who hire them—Democrats or Republicans. Neither side is trustworthy but the Democrats are the most criminal of the two. Just look at that FBI creep giving Las Vegas sheriff the evil eye. Those are true Las Vegas values. How many other corrupt cities are there hiring corrupt FBI like that guy.

“...not that many people were hanged after Nuremberg.”

I know. That could have lasted for months. I think the Allies, with the exception of the Soviet Union, were just tired of all the killing.

" I will never forget WACO. Ruby Ridge. And those bastards pointing guns at Elian Gonzales. Federal Law enforcements finest hours (sarc)."

Remember when government comes for you they will bring a machine gun and nothing less.

Shall not be infringed !!

"Can you find pictures of Elian Goncalez having a gun put in his face by a federal guy forcing him back to Cuba?"

Just google "Elian Gonzalez" and hit "images" and you will see a dozen or more pictures of a federal agent pointing an MP5 Sub Machine gun at the women holding him.

This is one of my main points to make people understand the 2nd amendment specifically protects the right of the people to own machine guns. Machine guns are what the government has and we have a right and a duty to possess the same. The second amendment is NOT about your bird gun just as the first amendment is not about speaking your mind about your favorite college team although both are protected it's not the purpose. The first Amendment is really there to protect POLITICAL speech and the second amendment is there to protect the right to possess machine guns.

The only reason any ATF faggots left the day of the initial raid is because the Branch Davidians were better human beings than your average government thug. The ATF actually ran out of ammo during the initial engagement, and had to ask for a cease fire to get their people out (most of whom had been hit with friendly fire) and reload.

I still think it's too bad the government thugs weren't slaughtered that day.

Good summary. People also forget that the cultists killed Federal agents first.

As I recall hearing from interviews of a few survivors, Koresh demanded that he be allowed to have sex with the wives in his cult and many of the children there were his. He also had his people pour gasoline all over the place when it was obvious the Feds were coming.

Beyond tiresome hearing some people blame the Feds.

IIRC, no ambulances were on scene during the siege nor on the final day when the Federal Government doused the buildings with tear gas delivered by AFVs. The tear gas caught fire and that’s when the complex went up in flames. IIRC.

Whatever folks think of him, they can thank Alex Jones for getting the ball rolling on building a new church on the site. Not sure if the memorial was put up at the same time.

Up until the day they assaulted the complex with AFVs, I figured the Feds would come up with a good plan to defuse the situation. Koresh was not looking good until that day. He was dragging out the entire stand-off. It seemed to me the Feds would do everything in their power to _not_ look like an army ready to do them in. Boy was I ever wrong.

I agree that it had to end. But it seemed to me there also had to be a better way.

Awesome documentary. Required viewing as part of any attempt to understand what happened during a time not long after the actual events.

Incidents like Ruby Ridge, this and Bundy’s Ranch is why the far seeing Founders gave US the 2nd amendment. It is a shame that we have allowed the control freaks to infringe it almost out of existence.

“But it seemed to me there also had to be a better way.”

The better way was to have simply left those people alone.

The saddest thing like so many subsequent horrors connected to government: We will NEVER know the real story and NOTHING will ever be done to prevent these events from happening again. I used to side with government even with benefit of doubt or grain of salt or any other stupid cliché but now I will NEVER trust this government seeing events play out as they do now.
