I would describe much of Heinlein's later work as "self-indulgentt". On the whole, I very much prefer his juveniles.

That having been said, I quite enjoyed "Time Enough for Love" and "Job: A Comedy of Justice".

I have always thought that “Job: A Comedy of Justice” had the most creative and interesting premise of just about any other fiction book that I’ve read ...

I do too. His early stuff was classic and more wholesome than his later stuff.
