The Obama AND Clinton administrations have both interfered in elections in other countries. It should come as no surprise that they would repay the favor whenever possible.

The last vestige of republic is the supreme court and the electoral college. The senate (high house) was knocked down to democracy by the 17th amendment (taking assignment of senators from statehouses and making them elected by popular vote). The courts legislate from the bench enough to be a serious issue.
