Fatal Bureau of Investigation

After Nikolas Cruz gunned down 17 people at Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, FBI special agent Robert Lasky, head of the bureau’s Miami division, said he “truly regrets” the pain caused by the FBI’s failure to act on a tip about the shooter.

The FBI said it had no way to trace the tip, then FBI boss Christopher Wray said the message was never passed on to the FBI’s Miami field office, as official protocol required. Relatives of the victims might have noted the passive verb construction. In typical style, Wray failed to name the person who never passed on the tip, and offered no explanation why that person might have done so.

Wray did say “we deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy.” In response to that admission Florida governor Rick Scott called for Wray to resign. Across the country Americans could make a case that Wray and many others in the FBI deserved much sterner measures.

As the Obama administration politicized and corrupted the FBI they also made the agency completely incompetent in dealing with actual crimes.

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions responded on Friday to the release of a contentious memo by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee alleging intelligence abuses at the Justice Department, saying "no Department is perfect." "

"In a statement issued shortly after the memo's release, Sessions acknowledged GOP concerns about Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI officials' actions, but said he remained confident in the agency's employees. "

Yes, the FBI dropped the ball but, what about the layers of safeguards before the FBI.
Relying on the federal government to protect us all at the local level is rather pipe dreamish and arguably dangerous.

I'm curious. Any real company, a pooch screw like this would result in someone walking, followed by a security guard, into Wray's office, this morning, and Wray being to told to pack his trash, he has one hour...

That during this period of one hour, Wray's next in line would be tracked down and promoted.

WITH the understanding that he has one chance to unf#ck this mess. He fails, HIS assistant is promoted and there is another ex-Fibbie with his box, at the curb. When there are enough bodies lying around, the message will go out...

Screw the Media and the dims. Push, pull, or get out of the way...

If I were President Trump I’d fire the top 20 people at the FBI and then promote the special agents in charge of the 20 most rural field offices to run the agency.

They’re the most likely to be uncorrupted by DC politics.

They are not that incompetent. Search for another reason. Standard protocol on the central tip line is buck the tip to the local field office. It's about as simple as you can get. Why did it not happen?

"no Department is perfect."

Double speak for incompetent.

I listened to much of that interview and couldn't help but observe that Sessions went to great lengths to not honestly and correctly answer the interviewers pertinent questions and the interviewer seemed more than happy to let him slide on his weaselly non-responsive answers, IOW to let him slip off the hook ever so gently and willingly with no request for clarification of his non-responsive answers.

The FBI Academy is a school for perjury, not to mention PC and Affirmative Action nonsense. Most of the top 20 FBI execs started as field agents.

But wait....just last week the Media said it was dangerous and un-American to criticize the FBI.
No wonder the American Left are so damn insane because it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep up with whatever “standards” they are promoting at any given hour.

Then I suppose the next choice is to just get rid of the FBI.
