A BRIT who fought with Kurdish militia against Islamic State was cheered by supporters as he appeared in court charged with a terror offence.
James Matthews arrived at Westminster Magistrates' Court to face a charge of attending a place used for terrorist training, under the Terrorism Act 2006.
The 43-year-old indicated a not guilty plea after the charge was put to him.

Absolutely unbelievable... They don't prosecute the folks who went to fight FOR ISIS & yet decide to go after this guy.
They are consistent, in a modern PC/EU way.
Don’t prosecute Muslims, even if they are international terrorist soldiers, to avoid inflaming the insular, unified, protective, and volatile Muslim community. That’s a necessary exception to the law. (/S)
But, otherwise, absent special conditions, uphold laws against British citizens engaging in overseas conflicts.
You know the REAL reason they’re doing this..?
Cuz they gave up their guns.
And that’s why THEY get arrested for Facebook posts, too.
It’s a great lesson.
