Whatever happened to the word "bomb"?

A bomb is a manufactured device that is normally dropped from an aircraft. A makeshift device may share none of the characteristics of a bomb, besides the fact that they explode.

Although, I think most people do not know the difference, nor do they care. We have a lot of police who think they are Captain America.

My son in law is a State Trooper. I often have to comment to him that I am not a civilian, I am his wife’s father. He doesn’t have to talk that way when he isn’t working. It was nice at first...then it got tedious.

I guess they just try to be precise. If they called it a bomb people would be asking who dropped it. They can’t win.

IED has Fewer letters than Bomb does.
