I would suggest that Hillary’s crew running the campaign....really didn’t have a grasp of the big numbers or individual states.
Remember that talk that Bill had with Hillary around July, and he told her that the numbers weren’t that favorable, and she said that her people knew what they were doing. I think if she had followed Bill’s advice....Trump would have lost votes, and Hillary likely would have won.
I think you are right. As much as I loathe Bubba I’ll readily admit that he is an exceptionally astute politician, albeit an exceptionally amoral one.
I ran into a person I took as a Democrat operative of some sort near Pittsburgh. He was sitting in a restaurant looking through a big pile of newspaper articles about Trump from a clipping service. In response to a question of how things were going, he unhappily, “They gave him a billion dollars of free publicity.” That was early summer of 2016.
I think the local Democrat organization knew Hillary was in trouble way back. Thank G-d she was the smartest woman in the world. /smirk
