Actress Emma Watson is donating more than $1.4 million to the UK Justice and Equality Fund to help sexual harassment victims. According to its Go Fund Me Page, the fund's mission is “to create the far-reaching personal, social, legal and policy changes that will ensure everyone can feel safe at work, at play and at home. Together we can end the culture of harassment, abuse and impunity.”
The fund is managed by Rosa, the UK's leading women's fund and the site states when grant-making opens in the spring, "the fund will address priority needs, especially those of people in low paid, part-time and freelance employment, and those who face intersecting disadvantages related to their race, age, class, immigration status, disability or sexuality." Emma Watson along with more than 150 other women in entertainment and activists also signed an open letter about the Time's Up movement.

It’s difficult to determine, from the text, exactly how the organization is going to “help.”
Someone important in the UK has a daughter with an upcoming wedding. Emma’s donation will help pay some of the cost.
Hmm. Usually I rely on celebrities for my financial advice, and get my political advice from 17-18 year old SJWs.

It’s her money, good for her. $1.4 million is a significant pile of cash. Hope the gift is worth it to her.
She should of just piled up that money in the middle of the street, doused it with gasoline and put a match to it.

I think it was pulled because some female Freeper objected - she was complaining to the poster. Another thread about Asian women posted by the same guy drew similar objections from her - making his point.

It’s not illegal to support causes you believe in even if they are crap. She’s had a better head than many young stars, maybe this too will pass. If not, all she needs to do is keep giving her money away and before you know it she will have accomplished her goal of equality - she will be as poor as those she’s giving to.
