Some actual common-sense gun laws there.

Meantime, whether liberals admit it or not, they are fine with these school shootings as long as it helps them achieve their eventual goal of disarming Americans.

They are vile and despicable!

West Texas? Who writes this stuff? It’s in the Panhandle up by Amarillo.

The entire school district Pre-K to 12th has 350 students. You can bet parents are teachers so, of course, they’d carry.

Students say they feel safer on campus knowing their staff is armed, and despite the tragedy in Florida, they have no nerves coming to school.

What an asinine statement. Good guys have guns. Of course the students feel safer.

In case of an active shooter, Claude ISD Superintendent Brock Cartwright, says they feel they can keep the school safe.

...

Great news that there’s such a school district, but aren’t all shooters active?

This is good, but this WILL NOT SAVE AMERICA!
Most of the media, and yes, many Freepers too, are only looking at the SYMPTOMS, not the CAUSE:
America is under God’s judgment! If the God of Israel would not spare His dear children from judgment, do you think He will spare the USA? A loving father corrects his children, and God’s fury is now coming home to you and me.
Millions of beautiful lives destroyed by abortion, a pornography industry that exports its poison worldwide, and a populace wherein many no longer fear God, but worship only themselves, as they lift their iPhones in adoration.

The troubles we see now are just the beginning!

We must REPENT of our wickedness. We need to fall on our knees and ask our loving creator to forgive us, then turn from our evil ways and pray for revival.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

while there is no 100 percent perfect answer, this is a major step forward
towards protecting the students
and
the students should receive firearms training (including safety and target practice and skeet and if an appropriate local area offers it, hunting)

What does the “Panhandle” have to do with the school being in East or West Texas?

Well, as a truck driver Kansan I've found it fairly common knowledge that there is north Texas(Dallas area), west Texas (El Paso[Pecos River country]/Lubbock[also called the south plains]), The Valley (Rio Grande), not sure about the coastal plains and then there is The Panhandle (highway 86 north more or less) Texas is big as 4-5 of the states around it. I'm sure there are more Texas definitions, Hill country, The Thicket...

Your truck driving experiences are impressive as well as your map reading skills, but they have nothing to do with what determines what West Texas is. Google “Where does West Texas begin.” I won’t wait for a response ‘case I’ve already been there.

For those of us who live in West TX it starts where the oaks stop.

LOL....gee, don’t you know that EVERYTHING west of Austin is considered ‘west’ Texas?

How does that make the folks in Canutillo feel? :-)
