If friends like this don’t greet us in Heaven, then God will have made a significant omission.
I know it’s not considered good Christian theology, but I think they have souls. Anyone who has lived with such little guys know Something burns brightly in their minds.

As my calico passed from cancer I saw something like a bubble, about the size of a squash ball, drift upward as if through a viscous fluid. There was nothing in the bubble, but there was no denying that bubble. Make of it what you will, but it was a comfort to me.
If there are no tears in heaven, then just maybe our friends will he there, as all things are possible with God.
