A Quinnipiac University poll found that 35 percent of New York voters do not approve of the job that Schumer is doing.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s approval rating is at it’s lowest point since 1999 among New York voters, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday.
The poll found that 35 percent of New York voters do not approve of the job that Schumer is doing in the Senate, while 53 percent of voters approve.
This is the lowest approval rating that Schumer has received from New York voters since he was first elected to the United States Senate in 1999.
Schumer’s low approval rating follows the minority leader’s failed government shutdown in January over immigration reform.
Political pundits and Democrats widely panned the government shutdown caused by Schumer and Senate Democrats as a failure.

This still means that 65% of the idiots who live in NY either approve, don’t know, or have no opinion.

The problem is NYC, not Upstate and Western NY.
There are simply more of them (downstaters), than there are of us.
UpChuck’s term does not expire until 2022, so they are stuck with this odious representative of their state. If it makes New Yorkers feel better, they can console themselves with the knowledge that Californians are represented by the most hated woman in America, Nancy Pelosi. However, she is up for re-election every two years, and CA could get rid of her this November if they weren’t ignorant or illegal voters.
Pelosi represents a safe district.
Chances of her being voted out are exactly zero.

I don’t believe many polls, but this one seems significant because there is little reason for them to skew the results this way. I’d expect to see disapproval numbers under 10%.
