You are right. Pathetic would be a vast improvement.

CNN's source: "The Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD) is a bipartisan transatlantic national security advocacy group with a stated mission of countering what it describes as an "unprecedented attack" on United States democracy by Russia.[1] The alliance is chaired and run primarily by former senior United States intelligence and State Department officials.[2] Its daily operations are led by Laura Rosenberger, a former senior State Department official in the Obama administration, and Jamie Fly, former national security counselor to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).[2] The initiative is housed at The German Marshall Fund of the United States and pursues its work in both the United States and Europe.[1]. . .The Alliance for Securing Democracy declared that it will develop strategies to "defend against, deter, and raise the costs" on any attempts by Russia or "other state actors" to undermine democracy.[1] Former acting CIA Director Michael Morrell stated that the group will fulfill some of the role that ideally would have been handled by a national investigative commission.[4]. . .The ASD is governed by an Advisory Council and an operating staff who are drawn from the American Marshall Fund. The Washington Post called the membership of the advisory council "a who's who of former senior national security officials from both [the Democratic and Republican] parties."[2] Members of the bipartisan personnel include Michael Chertoff (Republican - former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security) and Mike McFaul (Democrat - former US Ambassador to Russia). "The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is a nonpartisan American public policy think tank and grantmaking institution dedicated to promoting cooperation and understanding between North America and Europe. Founded in 1972 through a gift from the West German government on the 25th anniversary of the Marshall Plan, GMF contributes research and analysis on transatlantic and global issues; convenes policy and business leaders at international conferences; provides exchange opportunities for emerging American and European leaders; and supports initiatives to strengthen democracies. . .The president of GMF is Karen Donfried, who joined in April 2014. Donfried was previously special assistant to President Barack Obama. Past presidents of GMF include Benjamin H. Read (1973–77), Robert Gerald Livingston (1977–81), Frank E. Loy (1981–95), and Craig Kennedy (1996-2014). Members of GMF's Board of Trustees. . .In the 1970s and 1980s, GMF dispersed grants in accordance with its mission, including to academic researchers and to the Public Broadcasting Service and National Public Radio. It also provided the initial funding for the Institute for International Economics, now the Peterson Institute for International Economics. By 1977, the organization had spent more than $7 million on nearly 100 projects involving the United States, West Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, Japan and Canada. Academic Michael Naumann has said that GMF was one of the first think tanks to focus on the importance of soft power at a time when most academic focus was on military issues.[7]. . .After the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, GMF was among the first U.S. organizations to establish a presence in what had been East Berlin, in 1990. It moved its Bonn operations to Berlin in 1992. In 2006, GMF acquired its current headquarters in Washington, DC, a building that until 1963 had housed the West German chancery, and that had hosted such figures as John F. Kennedy, Konrad Adenauer, Lyndon B. Johnson, and George C. Marshall. German Chancellor Angela Merkel dedicated the new building. . .": German Marshall Fund

Wait...

So...

CNN says Russia wants to take over the USA, and part of their plot to take over the USA is to support the 2nd Amendment and make sure all of us peasants are well armed?

Not only are these people incapable of the slightest bit of logic....

THEY ARE INSANE.

Your search for a solution presupposes a target audience with sufficient intelligence and/or education to be reached with rational persuasion.

By 'education' I mean a proper grounding in 'the basics' and the encouragement of old-fashioned common sense much much more so than the robotic pursuit of all too often worthless 'degrees'.

With each passing day, and absent a radical and foundational overhaul of the current system of 'educrat factories', along with de-fanging the communist enemedia, I despair of the chances for your project of enlightenment.

I would, however, prefer to be an optimist, and would be overjoyed to be proven wrong !

Remember Alan Shift was saying the same regarding the “Release the Memo” effort. That it was Russian bots.

Well, thanks to Reddit and others, Mr. Shift’s office got their phones shutdown by a HUGE bunch of Russian bots - bots who were so good, they sounded like Americans.

Perhaps the same should be done here

Without God and His Son, Jesus- I have and am nothing. Our parents taught decency and morality. America needs God’s Law and Jesus’ everyday teachings.

well, we so far haven’t seen any serious effort to help solve this problem

from what i can see (and i may be overlooking something, someones, i sure hope so)

there’s a ton of enemy money (Soroznazi, IslamoNazi dictatorships, etc) pushing a strong communist extreme left agenda (with the dangerous Islamic hate-America agenda included)

there is usually some money from major corporate sources mostly, pushing a GOP-E agenda (which is essentially fascist in design, using governmental powers for private profit)

and what of the genuinely conservative people? we either lack the resources or else won’t commit them sufficiently to compete with the above

i sure hope this is in error.... but.. it appears that the conservative cause lacks the financial commitment, backing to be genuinely competitive

I don’t get it.
While it never applied to me personally, I was always under the impression that it was our side had that supposedly had all the money.

Or maybe that’s still true, and it’s the willingness to part with it that’s been lacking ?

a whole lot of the supposedly conservative money is really held by what I call fascists ... people who want to acquire more and more and more $$ .. by the easy route of seizing political power and then using government authority to create or protect monopolistic market positions, using government power to control or restrict American workers, using government power to prevent or limit outside competition or new technologies or better products from successfully entering the marketplace, etc and etc. Fascists or RINOs or GOP-E’s.....call them what you wish....but they are not conservatives. They like government power, they want to seize and control it... they do not want to restrict or reduce or eliminate it.

That all strikes me as both true and more than a little depressing.
Perhaps its been the apparent lack of that particular avarice gene that’s kept me relatively content with being a carpenter most of my life .. lol !

I’m sorry, but why, after the ‘tools’ acknowledged since the election, are we even taking the word of *any* govt entity re: ‘foreign forces’.

FBI and others having programs to ‘spoof’ whomever they wished...

Sooner, rather than later, we’ll need to drag these Nazi CNN traitors into the street and stand them before an American-style Nuremberg trial for crimes against the American people and the Constitution.
