At that time, their ear, skin and allergy problems had become severe and needed the vet’s attention. My boy then failed the liver portion of his wellness test and my girl needed meds as she was unable to stop biting and scratching herself. The lymph nodes on her back legs were very large and hard like marbles.
My guess was the environmental poisons and allergens were finally too much for them. I had been feeding them the best bag and canned food I could find and afford, adding Dinovite and vet recommended meds and supplements, but nothing had helped them. Now the vet wanted to biopsy my boy’s liver, but didn’t have much else to offer. Hopefully, my boy would heal and hopefully the meds would help my girl.
To make a long story shorter, I found a couple on line who use a whole food diet to cure dogs and cats of health issues like my two dogs had. I called him and then, for the first time, I slowly began to learn how to feed my dogs.
Now, going on three years later, they both are in excellent health and all of their ear problems and skin problems are gone and have stayed gone! Unbelievable! Even their anal glands, which used to always be clogged and stinky, don’t need to be expressed anymore. No more butt dragging on the carpet!
In learning how to feed them, I also have been learning how to feed me, too, and the age related and overuse issues I’ve been fighting with forever are minor now and only occasionally bother me.
On the downside, it’s a lot of work to prepare all food from scratch using only whole, usually organic, produce and meats.
I used to rely upon others to cook for me and my dogs, but now I do it all and I really don’t like kitchen work, food prep, clean up and all of that, never have.
I want to resent this burden, as I now seem to spend most of my time doing food stuff and clean up, and then run out of time and energy to do much else. But, the results have been too amazing for me to ever go back to bag and can food for them or me.
The basic truth is, the closer you get your stuff to His Stuff, especially the food we feed our bodies and our minds, the better your life will be.
Food you make with love in your kitchen is simply better for you than food made for long shelf life by machines in a factory somewhere far, far away.
Glad to hear that your dogs are doing well. I can imagine it is much more work, but the effort is worth it.
I see it says positive, but no level of detection. There isn’t a human or petfood sample that can be found on the planet that isn’t positive for a dozen or more poisons. LOD! Level of Detection must be expressed. Arsenic was in the same samples, so was lead, so was a dozen other poisons. It is hopeless trying to convey science to people that refuse it.

I’ve heard the lawyer speak enough to make me vomit. What was the level mr. Lawyer. Has an outside lab found anything? How many times has this same issue been discussed for the last 30 years? Is there a shred of evidence-based science to suggest any adverse effects from this or arsenic, or a dozen other poisons, in the very same samples? What about the deadly carbon monoxide present in the very air you are breathing, right now? You are not much of a scientist, are you?
Just found out from the vet after two bouts of sick-as-a-dog in a week’s time that our pup can’t handle a human diet.
She’s bummed because it’s dry dog food from now on.
This investigation may actually find the perpetrators since it’s not being conducted by the FBI.
That’s why I can’t go back. It’s so obviously better than what I was doing before.

Fwiw, I cook the meat instead of feeding them raw, even though I understand that it’s better raw. We all have our limitations, I guess.
I wish I had known about him earlier. My parents lost their dog to the Chinese melemine poisoned dog food thing years back.
