Why are there no security guards watching the perimeter of this school with video cameras? How does a guy just walk onto the campus carrying a rifle? After all the school shootings we’ve had, this school has incredibly lax security procedures.

If you really want to solve the school shooting issue, do these things:

1. put an armed police officer on duty in every school.

2. if a person under 18 is mentally ill, require his caregiver certify he/she cannot possess a firearm and share that with state and local police.

3. If a menatally ill person under 18 is to possess firearm his/her caregiver must certify it is safe to do so.

4. Make every caregiver certify that a mentally ill person may be allowed to possess a weapon in the community. Hold the approving caregiver legally liable by the signature for what that person does with the firearm.

5. Make the parent liable for the illegal actions of the child using a firearm.
