Gardner is misguided.
It is the legislature that decides what class of drugs marijuana fits, not Sessions. If Gardner wants to be useful, maybe he and his peers could convince Congress to degrade marijuana into a different class that didn’t require federal regulation on a state level. But beating on the administration for Session’s enforcing existing law is a waste of time and effort that could be better directed.
There have been so many arrests by federal authorities for marijuana possession that I can’t keep count of them. No, wait a minute I can, THERE ARE NONE.
