Exactly. When you are a member of "The Club" laws don't apply to you. And...you NEVER have to worry about prosecution or punishment.

I don’t think people realize how much of the energy that made Watergate snowball into “a big deal” came from the media.
The government is essentially made up of “group thinkers” who don’t follow their hearts, don’t follow reason, don’t follow principles and don’t follow the constitution.
Instead, they act according to a sense of political correctness that is defined by the mainstream media.
The media claims to be the voice of the general public but that’s a lie, it is its own voice, the voice of the progressive left, and the voice of the Democrat party.
Government is full of rules, and full of people trying to circumvent them. That means there is always something happening that the opposition party could call corruption. Without the media these accusations go nowhere - just political fingers being pointed back and forth across the aisle.
But the progressive left and its weaponized propaganda arm, the MSM, has the power to gin these political accusations into a Watergate type scandal.
It’s completely one-sided. The Republicans can try it as they did with Monica Lewinsky. Conservatives can try it as they did with Ben Ghazi - but after all the special investigations and finger pointing - it’s the mainstream media that gets to decide how to spin it - whether to dismiss it as only a blowjob - none of our business. In the case of Ben Ghazi the media just ignored it, and if the media doesn’t report something, it may as well not have even happened.
Everyone knows that if Nixon had been a Democrat, there would have been no Woodward & Bernstien, and the movie All The President’s Men would never have been produced.
I think we constitutional conservatives need to manage our expectations a bit here. If we really expect Clintons or Obamas to go to jail, we are going to be dissapointed.
But if we expect to dismantle the Clinton Foundation and drive out other crime networks that operate out of DC - if we expect to drain the swamp, at least partially, we will get satisfaction with this POTUS.
It’s already happened - the Clinton Foundation is no more, and the Obamas are out. The swamp is quietly draining but without the fanfare or speed we may have hoped for.
If we expect fairness or vindication from the media - or expect the left to confess their crimes and admit they were wrong - we will be disappointed.
But if we can be satisfied that the worst abusers have been removed from power, and that the media has suffered some loss of credibility, I think there is reason to be hopeful.
Whether that will be enough to turn things around and MAGA, I don’t know - I have my doubts. I think it’s going to take a lot more than one good POTUS - We the People will have to assert ourslves and reign in this tyrannical government of ours.
Are there enough wise people for that to happen? I don’t think so. History shows us that when pushed too far, people will fight for Liberty, but future generations will trade it away as the tyranny their grandparents escaped is gradually forgotten.
