A federal judge in New York ruled Tuesday that the government must fully restart the Obama-era DACA deportation amnesty and accept brand new applicants as well as renewals, throwing a potential wrench in the ongoing debate over the fate of “Dreamers” on Capitol Hill.
Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis said the administration does have the power to revoke DACA, but it must give a sound reason for doing so — and the Homeland Security Department’s September 2017 rationale fell far short of what is required in that regard.
He becomes the second judge to rule President Trump’s aides bungled the phaseout — but his decision is the most wide-ranging, ordering the government to not only allow those already in the program to renew their applications but also ordering the government to accept new applications.

No he does not have to give a sound reason. The reason could literally be I don’t want people from foreign countries here illegally.

Take it up to the Circuit Court of Appeals, and if they don’t see reason, to SCOTUS. This is unbelievable.

Exactly. President Trump obviously has a legal team that is seriously lacking depth in interpreting and understanding law. Now I am no legal scholar but you’d think we would be winning this fight on constitutional grounds and/or just ignoring the lower court rulings period. What are they going to do to the Trump administration if they ignore the ruling?
I’m of the opinion now that we should mass deport all the illegals back to their countries of origin. Cause the uproar and have just 1 term for POTUS Trump. Eventually we will all be fighting in the streets anyhow. Lets just get this party started sooner rather than later.

Sure. We are going to do some due diligence for vetting and should be able to reinstate the program sometime in April. The program ends in March? Oh well.
Misleading headline, should be something like:
Court Orders President that Executive Orders un-constitutional.
And with that Trump should immediately reverse the Executive Order authorizing Government Unions.

When a federal judge wants to act against the Constitution while claiming to do the opposite, he is at liberty to do so.
Nobody can stop him, at least initially.

I don’t think it was even an executive order. It was in the form of a memo sent to the DHS secretary.
These judges are actually hurting the Dems. See Trump tried to negotiate but judges.
Perhaps conservative judges can use this the next time a Democrat is in office.
After all, liberalism fails the rational basis test.
