Exactly. The original constitution had the census count EVERYONE but slaves were counted separately. Similarly it makes for sound public policy to understand how many illegals reside in every state, but of course this is another instance where the liberals believe ignorance is bliss. Hopefully he will bring the lawsuit soon as I can see this one going to SCOTUS after the ultra left 9th circuit rules...

We've reached the breaking point with all of this. Why on Earth should non-citizens be counted the same as citizens on an official census? One important function of the Census is to determine the number of representatives a state gets, and how many electoral votes. Non-citizens aren't supposed to vote, and should definitely not be counted as a determinant of congressional seats and electoral votes. It's a flagrant attempt to use immigration to wield political power.
Xavier Becerra was the chair of the Hispanic Caucus when he held a congressional seat, and he clearly has a personal bias.
