I worked with Ed Buck on then Repub Gov Ev Mecham’s recall fight in the late ‘80s in AZ. (I was young and a dumb Dem then).

He posed as a Republican to appear to be non-partisan and just a good citizen doing his duty by recalling the odious gov. Buck was a mercurial person in those days. Always had money, had a home up the side of Camelback Mountain.
