Democrats block vote on sanctuary cities

Democrats blocked a vote Tuesday on cracking down on sanctuary cities as the first day of the immigration debate began with a whimper.

Sen. Charles E. Schumer said debating sanctuary cities would be getting off “on the wrong foot,” insisting this week’s floor fight should only be about illegal immigrant “Dreamers” and border security.

The early jockeying underscored the problems the Senate is about to face.

Democrats had begged for a “fair” process to debate immigration, but are now worried about just how wide-ranging that debate will be, and are trying to shape the amendments that will be offered.

“Democrats had begged for a “fair” process...”

Fair = obstruction of the majority.

Irony. Politicians don’t get it

How THE HECK can there be a fair resolution if invaders can hide in sanctuary cities? I do wish the ‘pubs in the US Senate who actually believe their campaign rhetoric would get the fake Republicans (cheap labor sellouts?) in line.

I have a sneaking suspicion we are going to essentially see the exact same thing we saw from the senate in 2013, an amnesty bill with a few vague, underfunded promises for borders security thrown in get a handful of RINO's on board.

With any luck, just like 2013, it will be DOA in the House. I would like to think President Trump would also veto it, but after the budget bill, he seems content to sign anything Congress sends him.....

Obstruct, resist, lay on the tracks - that really isn’t working very well with this administration, is it? The Russia thing didn’t work, the media can only lie so long, and that Blue Tidal Wave is starting to look like a ripple on the pond. Could be the Dems are going to have to do the unthinkable: relearn how to do real politics.

I’d like to “get off on the right foot,” by placing mine in close proximity to Schumer’s a$$ at a high velocity!

Democrats block vote AGAINST AMERICA - every time.

They and the RINO’s are the Enemy Within. May the Patriots meet them and beat them with force and determination.

One more time, there is no such thing as a "Sanctuary city or State".

This has clearly been made up by the "Rat Party!!!"

We hope the Rat party goes down in flames. The Rat party has gone so far to the left that they are out of the baseball park.

We love it.

If the Republicans were in the majority, they could get something done.

What? They *are* in the majority?

Political terms for Dummies:

Bipartisan = Agreeing with Democrats.

Reaching across the Aisle = Agreeing with Democrats.

The Loyal Opposition = Democrats who are out of power.

One Party Rule = Phrase only used when Republicans are in power.

Chuck Schoooooooooomer is the perfect reason for eliminating the two-track rule for filibusters. Let Chuckie Cheese expound on the Beastie Boys' symolism in their hit songs, rather than just simply blocking votes with his allies. He and his fellow travelers would look awfully suspect engaging in endless debate on behalf of people who broke into our country.
