Journeyman starting pitcher Esteban Loaiza was arrested Friday in San Diego with over 20 kilograms of cocaine and/or heroin, according to police documents.
Loaiza is being held in South Bay Detention Facility on $200,000 bail. His next court hearing is Wednesday.

They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime.
Traded by the Pirates to the Texas Rangers for Warren Morris and Todd Van Poppel in what had to be one of the worst baseball trades EVER.
It appears he did not save his money.
Lets see ... 20 kilos of Cocaine, Mexican native, arrested in San Diego and has bail set at only $200,000...what could possibly go wrong.
He just won't be pitching anymore.
This slimebag grossed almost $44 million in salary over the course of his 14 year career.
Maybe he was sending it home to his poor family in Mex.
I know the source is the NY Post. But the guy pitched for nine teams, pitching the LEAST for the Yankees; pitching just 10 out of his 377 games for them. And everyone will say, “Another YANKEE got busted with drugs.”
Will he be in the California Penal League?
Theyre bringing drugs. Theyre bringing crime.
Not that unusual. He obviously had the startup money.

Neil Huntington is reading this and thinking to himself “Hold muh beer, Mr.McFrog.” :-)
We just gave up McCutchen for nothing and Cole for nothing.
The Jason Bay trade was a total bust too. Warren Morris had one, maybe two decent seasons for the Pirates. Bay trade :
1> Andy LaRoche was a complete bust.
2> Brandon Moss was a total bust for the Pirates. He did decent with Oakland and StL though.
3> Two relievers whose names I forget ... complete busts.
Bay went on and had two solid seasons for the Red Sox. The Pirates got nothing.
We have been all but assured that his customers for drugs, are victims.
Victims that need Obamacare’s “Essential Health Benefits,” including substance addiction treatment.
Said treatment to occur, in privately owned, insurance reimbursed facilities and programs, equal to Betty Ford Center.
Daily activities include trips to testing, the gym, the beach, “group,” “one-on-one,” and AA or NA meeting.
Movement between activities to occur in Mercedes Sprinter vans.
I’m sure that he’ll bend over backwards to join.
Darwin award winner
Joining Charlie Sheen who is there for a rehab assignment.
He’s mescin Jim....
Drugs? From Mexico? BUILD THE WALL!
Two years after he left the Pirates I saw Andy LaRoche in a AAA game. He was hitting .211
Nice guy from a solid Christian family, but yeah, that was just an awful trade.
