Red was the first NBA coach to start 5 black players in a game. Not notable enough?
“Not notable enough?”
Well noted. I somehow can not understand why a man; white, black, red, brown, yellow, any color, religion, or beliefs, that have nothing to do with the actions he took, that furthered the opportunities and advancement of an improperly identified group of people, can not be honored for his actions because he was white?
Name me a poor NBA player. You can’t. And Red was instrumental in advancing the problem in the right direction years before the civil rights doctrines went through congress.
