Okay, WHAT QUESTION DID I ASK, is the census a response to?
I asked if you were born/lived in RSA and/or if you have relatives there. Ergo, just saying "the census", in not answering the query I put to you.
And as to why so many whites are still living in RSA, as opposed to Zimbabwe...the answer is a bit complicated.
First of all, it is extremely difficult for them to leave. They just can't just pick up and flee. But if you knew 1/1,000th of what you imagine you know about that nation, you would know that.
Apparently, you don't know just how many MORE white South Africans would be there still! The answer is a LOT! Yet they'v e been leaving, for many, many, many decades, in large numbers, even with all of the various roadblocks, red tape, monetary restrictions, and lack of accepting nations, put in their way of emigrating.
OTOH...some of them stupidly refuse to leave. It's their ancestral home, their families have been there for many 100s of years longer than the vast majority of carpet bagging/illegal alien blacks have.
Though the white ( and yes, black too ) genocide, in Zimbabwe, decimated the population there, there was also nothing to stop Zimbabweans from fleeing across the border, into RSA.
The current census figures support the fact that far more whites are remaining in South Africa than in neighboring African countries, and they CAN just pick up and leave - other African countries are courting them (and white Zimbabweans) to help stimulate the economies of those countries.
Have some white South Africans left? Absolutely, yet proportionally many more remain than in Zimbabwe - because the South African government has always pursued a different policy than Mugabe. Some whites today still move to South Africa.
