How did the story of the Warner text messaging get into the media bloodstream? Who was the ‘entity’ who investigated, discovered, and eventually released the Warner messaging?

This is maddening to me that people don’t understand the nature of Jeff Sessions’ work. They think that getting out in front of microphones all the time and being a blowhard means something’s happening.
Jeff sessions job is to keep information close to the vest. Putting these kinds of cases together is a very difficult endeavor. This is not like an armed robbery where you have video, fingerprints and DNA evidence. This is all paper, interviews, and getting people to flip. It involves a lot of hard, detailed, meticulous work and it takes a long time to put these cases together and put them together the right way.
If Sessions wasn’t doing his job, I have no doubt in my mind that he wouldn’t be there anymore.
The only thing lower than Warner is his bitch Burr....
That’s a ridiculous question. You aren’t supposed to think that way when you watch the news. They want you just to watch the news -as they present it-. Critical thinking skills are very frowned upon today.
They also prefer when you watch a movie of some guy climbing the sheer face cliff of half dome in Yosemite by his fingernails, that you not ask who was doing the same thing 20 feet away while carrying and using an IMAX camera.

Me too, and I wasn’t really thinking it was the IG but who knows?
The IG wouldn’t have been my 1st, 2nd or 3rd guess either.

I found it curious that not only was this info presented without
a source but there has been no pushback from Warner or other
lefties with indignant accusations regarding its release.
I heard a member of the Senate Intel Committee leaked that info. It was then immediately released to public but I can’t remember how.
Sessions legally walled himself off from any and all matters concerning the 2016 election via his public recusal.
Everything that Mueller and Congress are currently investigating, is directly or tangentially tied to that election, therefore Sessions is bound by the rules of recusal to refrain from participating in any investigations concerning such.
If Sessions truly is ‘working behind the scenes, he’d better not leave a single finger print on his work product, or it will all be thrown out by the courts.

Trump put Sessions in his position and gave him marching orders.
Anyone who has studied Trump knows that he is a strategist -- who will not tolerate insubordination -- or failure to perform.

Re Sessions, Trump has not even come close to saying, "You're FIRED!"
The logical conclusion is that Trump gave Sessions a covert mission -- and that Sessions is performing that mission to Trump's satisfaction.
Comey, OTOH, heard Trump -- loud and clear...
